SAVE ABBY
_{One Step Forward Into The Light}



So some of you may remember the Abby Stories and whatnot that were posted up some time ago at the beginning of this year well...As senior projects and a continuation of such, my friend and I are starting a little organization called 'Save Abby' with the intention of raising awareness for children, teenagers and young adults who have been raped, abused and/or molested.



My partner and I are currently working on gathering stories of people that we know who wish to share and become part of the Save Abby movement.


Currently at our school T-Shirts are being made and sold to the students and staff. Each shirt comes with a card which has a little story about the Abby that helped start our movement. All profits from the shirts are going to our local women's center. A place where women and younger girls can go to get away from an abusive situation in their household. They also need alot of support.



Surprisingly, there has been alot of interest in the shirts and the stories. We're beginning to wonder if we are going to have enough shirts to go around! We've even gotten a few people that are working on their stories of abuse for the use of raising awareness.



We're currently working on a website. Nothing is on it now because we are working on gathering information but the site is: [link]



It's only a freewebs account right now but depending on how well this spreads we hope to get a domain name for it in the future. This is where all of the stories that we post will go. Names will be changed to protect the innocent and the identity of whomevers story we get.

For those who want to submit a story, please put as much detail as possible. We want everyone to know that this is happening and that people caught in these situations need help. If you submit, we will make sure to change names at your request or otherwise to protect any information you would like hidden. So please feel free to contact me if you are interested. =]
