The Deathless Night Pt. 13

I looked down at the lifeless forms of my parents. Their blood mixed with the rain and flowed in every direction. I swallowed hard as I could feel some sort of sadness crawling over me. Suddenly, I felt something hit me. I was knocked into a puddle. I lifted my self slowly and looked behind me. Mu uncle stood before me, his eyes blazing.

"How could you?! Your....your own father and mother!"

"I didn't...do it..." I managed to mutter.

He growled. "That cloak you are wearing...we saw it when you killed them!"

I looked over at the gruesome scene laid before me. The rain trailed down my hair and face. My heart rate started to pick up again. I stood slowly to my feet, my eyes making rain of their own with realization. Everyone backed up. I took my cloak and tore it off of me, throwing it into the nearest puddle.

My sharingan activated, shining through the rain. "SASUKE!" I shouted.

Everyone exchanged anxious looks.

"You did this! How could you! Show yourself, Sasuke!!!!"

I dropped by my mothers side and held her in my arms. She as cold and her blood poured all over me. I didn't care. I started to rock her back and fourth in my arms.

"She's not dead...she can't be...father can't...he can't be either...it's not true..." Tears started to flow over my cheeks. "SASUKE!!" I screamed out, following by me sobbing heavily into my mother's shoulder.

"So, you really did care eh?" A voice mocked.

I turned around to see Sasuke, Pein and Hanairo standing behind me. They all had smug looks on their face. Sasuke had two metal stubs in his ears. I glared up at him and laid mother back down on the ground. I stood up again and could feel the mangekyo sharingan taking form in my eyes.

Sasuke smirked. He closed his eyes and laughed. "You don't scare me anymore..." His eyes flashed open with the mangekyo staring straight at me.

I gasped a little. "Sasuke...Sasuke why did you do this?"

Sasuke flipped his hair cockily and grinned. "It was my test to be in the Akatsuki...oh by the way...welcome to my world."

Suddenly everyone around me dropped to the ground and everythign faded out and into one more large picture. It was at that moment that I saw everyone laying all around, blood was pouring all around me from the slaughtered members of the Uchiha clan. My legs started to shake again. Everyone....everyone is...

"You and I are the only survivors of the Uchiha clan brother." Sasuke chuckled.

Sasuke. Why...why did you do this...this is our friends, our family! Why would you do such a horrible thing? Lightning flashed over our heads. A hot, black flame formed around me, my subconcious conjuring it. I felt something stirring...deep inside, now threatening to burst from within me.

Thunder crashed loudly and I could see Pein's face stiffen as he watched me. Hanairo took a step back and even Sasuke's face seemed suddenly scared. Crows appeared seemingly out of nowhere and started flying in circles around us. More and More started to come. Hanairo, Pein and Sasuke backed close together.

"Itachi!!!" Sasuke screamed.

I looked down at the flames burning around me. The crows were comming from there...I looked at Sasuke's trembling form as the birds started to attack Hanairo and Pein. Of course they easily took the birds down individually but when more started to appear then they could handle, they started to lack in the battle.

"Brother stop!" Sasuke yelled again.

I don't know what came over me, but the next minute my hand was wrapped around Sasuke's throat. He stared up at me with terrified mangekyo.

"Why Sasuke?!" I shouted amidst the birds and thunder. "Why did you do it!?"

A slight smile curled up onto his face. "To save you of course"

Sasuke's hand reached up and grabbed my wrist in an attempt to pry my hand away. My grip would not lessen. As our sharingan locked I could feel the anger pulsing through me and as it did I noticed more birds took flight. "What's going on Sasuke!"

"I tried to keep you away..." He coughed. "I tried to keep you away from him...but it's too late...he's already...got you..."

My eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

"Ma...Mada...ra..."

"Madara?"

There was a laugh from behind me. I whipped my head around to see a masked figure standing there. Sasuke gasped as I released him. As he knelt on the ground coughing the mask figure approached me. A low growl came from my throat. The man withdrew for a second but then laughed again.

"Looks like you have already mastered the sharingan and it's hidden abilities more then I had expected." The voice chimed. "You can even call up the crow tengu without even trying. I'm impressed...looks like the Tengu king will be able to take you over after all...and here I had plans for Sasuke..."

"You can't!!" Sasuke shreiked. "I'm the one he's suppose to take!"

I stood in the middle of the arguement confused. Who was the Tengu king? What's going on here? The masked man looked to me and must have saw the confusion on my face. He ripped his mask off. Underneath was a black haired man with dazziling sharingan. Sasuke rose to his feet and stood next to me.

"My name...is Madara..." He said in an icy tone. "Madara Uchiha"

I gasped. Sasuke...I understood now...I pushed him safely behind me.

"Itachi...? I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...I didn't know..."

I glanced down at all the bodies around me. I sighed. "It's fine Sasuke...I know...I know if I would have done this...you would have forgiven me too." I clenched my fist and saw that the crows dispersed. Pein and Hanairo wearily stood. "I'm not letting anyone take my body...or take yours...I've broken to many promises already but this is one I swear I will keep Sasuke. Believe me"

"I tried to keep you away from this place...because I didn't want this to happen. But you followed me...you followed me because you cared about me..."

"Sorry to break up this little reunion but..."

Chains rose from the ground and wrapped tightly around Sasuke and I. I tried to move my arms but only felt them tighten. Madara walked slowly over to us with a wide grin. His mangekyo rested on my eyes and in responce I glared back with my own...the worse thing I could have done.......
